The General lodge of Instruction 587

This March, The General Lodge of Instruction No. 587, will have been meeting in Birmingham City Centre for 169 years, making the Lodge, I believe, the oldest Lodge of Instruction in the Province. I do not know when, the Lodge held its first Annual Festival, some research is need, but to-date there has been one hundred and one Annual Festivals, with many distinguished guests Presiding as Festival President.

I am pleased to announce that The Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire, the Right Worshipful Brother, Philip L. Hall will Preside at this year’s 102nd Annual Festival, which will be held on the 9th May 2024, at Severn Street Masonic Hall, 60 Severn Street, Birmingham B1 1QG.

Whilst the work for the evening has not been finalised, members of the General Lodge of Instruction will be invited to take part in the Festival Full details will be published in due course.
If you have not attended our meetings recently, why not come along, you may even take part in our next Festival!

W Bro David Sandall
Secretary, General Lodge of Instruction 587
